I come from the Apis Cerena honeybee hives, indigenous to the middle to high altitudes of Jaunpur and Jaunsar regions (5000 to 8000 ft) of Garhwal Himalayas. The area is famous for rich floral diversity. The valleys are filled with buransh (Rhododendron), Amaranth and other seasonal wildflowers found in the meadows. The bee hives include wall hives, long hives and wooden bee boxes that are kept in the high mountain villages.
May and June - Dominant Flora: Rhododendron flowers; October to March: Apple Flowers
500 gm - ₹ 801.00 Shelf Life: 18 months
I am mono-floral, which means, I hold a distinctive flavour and other attributes due to being predominantly from the nectar of one plant species.
Possessing all the necessary nutrition and medicinal advantages, I am raw or unpasteurized in nature - nothing added or taken away. The wax formed in the jars I come packed in clearly tells that I am just what bees produce in the hive, because I love to retain my natural sweet and full bodied flavor. That’s why I make sure that nothing artificial or adulterated is added to me while processing or packaging.
Depending up on what the clever bee-keepers are growing dominantly across 12-15 kms sprawled fields, I come in various varieties and flavours as follows.
Round the year.
500 gm - ₹ 350.00 - 850.00 Shelf Life: 24 months
I am made from the extracts of high altitude Rhododendron flowers, mixed with jaggery and processed using filtered Ganges water from the perennial sources. Not only am I a energy boosting thirst quencher, but I am also considered to be a magic portion for all that is “heart”.
