How to Reach (from Dehradun):

Kanatal is a village located 77 km from Dehradun, 48 km from Mussoorie, and 15 km from Chamba, on the Chamba-Mussoorie road. It’s an off-beat travel destination known for its scenic beauty and tranquility. 

  • Self-Transportation
      • From Dehradun via Mussoorie Road: Before entering Mussoorie, take a diversion towards Dhanaulti, cross Kanatal Main Market, and reach Thangdhar Village. Take the bifurcation descending adjacent to Ramola Tea Stall. Drive for another 200 meters and park your cars. Start descending down for the next 700 meters to reach The Goat Village- Kanatal
      • From Rishikesh Via Chamba: From Chamba, reach Thangdhar Village in Kanatal (Chamba to Thangdhar is 14 kms), take the bifurcation descending adjacent to Ramola Tea Stall. Drive for another 100 meters and park your cars. Start descending down for the next 700 meters to reach The Goat Village- Kanatal
    • Board an early morning bus that leaves from Mussoorie Bus Stand in Dehradun (outside Dehradun Railway Station) for Kanatal. Get down at Ramola Tea Stall at Thangdhar Village. Follow the signboards and walk for 700 meters to reach The Goat Village- Kanatal
    • Daily buses also operate from Rishikesh to Kanatal via Chamba.

The most direct option is to hire a taxi from the railway station to Thangdar Village. The journey is approximately 77 km and should take around 2-3 hours.

Attention Visitors!

Our property is located amidst a forest area, one can find Spiders, Chameleons (Girgit), frogs, Millipedes (Kankhajura, Mosquitos, Grasshoppers), wild Lizards, birds, dogs, and occasionally, snakes may come around to meet the guest. There is no need to panic as they are harmless unless provoked. You are requested to call our scout and a trained professional shall escort our guest from nature to their home.
